How does the canteen work?
Leibniz University has different canteens in which you can get food and drinks for reasonable prices. You can find an overview of the different locations, weekly menues, and opening hours here. Please remember to bring your LeibnizCard, so you can get the student discount. If you have further questions, the Canteen FAQ might provide answers.

What can I see and experience in Hannover?
There are many excursion destinations in and around Hannover. If you are looking for nature, we recommend the Steinhuder Meer, the Deister, or the blue lake with its sandy beach. Your semester ticket even takes you to Norddeich-Mole at the North Sea.
If you are interested in culture and history, the Herrenhausen Gardens, the Marienschloss near Pattensen, which was built in the mid-19th century, and the many museums in and around Hanover are suitable places to visit.
City trips to Hamburg, Bremen or Göttingen are also possible with your semester ticket. However, make sure you only use the local trains and routes covered by your semester ticket.
